Faculty Development Channel

This channel includes video recordings of previously offered workshops from the Learning and Educational Center and our University partners.

Syllabus Management

Dynamically generated syllabi for all NSU courses are managed through this AppCentral application. Each college creates their own custom syllabus that includes course and college information so faculty can focus on the sections they are responsible for. These syllabi are available to students via a link which will be automatically included in Canvas and Course Wizard search tool.

Turnitin

Turnitin provides plagiarism prevention services, and digital grading products to educational institutions around the world. The Turnitin Building Block extension in Canvas gives users of the Canvas Learning System the ability to use Turnitin products within their Canvas interface.

Canvas will be NSU's official learning management system (LMS) as of Fall 2018.

Zoom Web Conferencing

Zoom is an online presentation tool similar to GoToTraining or Collaborate, allowing you to host an online meeting with optional web camera and audio access for all attendees.

Quality Matters provides professional development, a set of rubrics, and a course peer review process that work together to support faculty in improving the quality of online and blended courses.
