James Profetto, B.S.

James Profetto is the social media content manager of NSU's Division of Public Relations, Marketing, and Creative Services. In this role, he oversees a team of specialists to produce engaging content, as well as communicate events and happenings at NSU.

Previously, Profetto served as a social media coordinator for Miami Dade College (MDC), where he strategized and created content for the college’s district social media accounts. He also managed the social media presence for two of the college's presidents (Dr. Padron and Dr. Montoya). Prior to his 3-year experience at MDC, James worked at WSVN Channel 7 as a web writer, after completing his bachelor’s degree in broadcast media at Florida International University.

James has also been a film/TV critic since 2016, while being the founder of “Reel James,” an outlet for entertainment news, reviews, and reactions. He currently holds membership with the Southeastern Film Critics Association.

Outside of work, you can find James looking for the next travel destination, spending time with loved ones, serving at church, or watching a ton of movies and TV.
