Throughout Broward County, there is a need to define the disparities in health status among various religious, ethnic and racial population. To that end, the Coordinating Council of Broward every two years conducts surveys to measure the quality of life and health within the Broward community. Status reports available indicate the health status of various sectors of the population versus the health status of similar populations. These reports also depict how the health status of certain populations compares to Broward County, the state of Florida, and the nation as well as projected future goals. The intent of the data is to raise awareness of the health status of the community and to define meaningful areas for the opportunity to increase the quality of life and health of the community.
