Chapter Name: Delta Iota
National Founding Date: March 25, 1917, Cornell University
Mission: To form a close social and fraternal union of those of similar ideals and to foster, maintain, and instill such ideals in the hearts of its members as will result in actions worthy of the highest precepts of true womanhood, democracy and humanity.
Philanthropy: Every chapter of Sigma Delta Tau is actively involved in the support of SDT’s National Philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America. Through educational awareness programs, to community service projects, to fund raising activities, each chapter creatively donates their time, energy and money to assist the National Headquarters of PCAA or a local child abuse agency. Giving one’s personal time and talents to a worthy cause is rewarded with a sense of personal fulfillment and satisfaction; the habit of giving to others is often a life-time addiction!
Sigma Delta Tau also supports Jewish Women International.
