The Safety Awards Program recognizes faculty, staff, and student employees engaged in safety solutions around campus. We aim to recognize all proactive prevention methods by faculty, staff, and student employees engaged in supporting a clean and safe campus life. These honorary members of our community identify potential risks and inform us about the risks to help determine effective intervention and prevention actions. Acting as first reporters their TIPS provides the right timeframe to improve processes and systems in risk control. The Risk Management Office/ Workers’ Compensation Risk Management Specialist will review all submissions and select the recipients. Participation in the Safety Awards program is limited to all faculty, staff, and student employees. The recipient must be a current member of the NSU community to be eligible for an award. Recipients of the award may submit information pertaining to more than one unsafe condition to bcharmai@nova.edu.
