New Student Information
On behalf of the Center for Academic and Professional Success, we would like to congratulate you on your acceptance to Nova Southeastern University! Our school strives to provide every student a competitive edge for their future careers. To ensure your successful transition to your undergraduate studies, please carefully follow the instructions below.
To be sure that your NSU student record is up to date, you'll work with your Admissions Counselor to ensure that you've submitted all necessary test scores and transcripts to NSU.
Have you submitted your Enrollment Deposit yet? If not, do so here: nova.edu/deposit.
Not sure if you've completed the admissions process yet? Contact your Admissions Counselor for clarification.
This online course, that you can complete at your own pace, will walk you through important information that you'll need to take your next steps as a new Shark! Once you've completed it, you'll be able to schedule your group registration session with a CAPS Advisor(s), who will help you get registered for your first semester at NSU!
You can find the CAPS New Student Information Session in two places:
1. Your NSU email inbox - you should have an email from Canvas (that's the learning management system we use at NSU) inviting you to the New Student Information Session - click the link in that email.
2. Go directly to Canvas and look for New Student Information Session.
After you have completed the New Student Canvas Course, you'll be directed to schedule a group registration virtual session with a CAPS Advisor(s). The final module of the New Student Information Session will provide you with multiple days and times to register for an upcoming Registration session. At the end of the group registration session CAPS, you will register for your first semester as an NSU Shark.
Once you complete these enrollment steps, you are well on your way to dive in, fins first, to your first semester of classes as a Shark!
