What is the COVID UPP?
COVID UPP stands for COVID-19: Understanding the Post-Viral Stage. It is a research study funded by the Center for Disease Control and conducted in partnership with Nova Southeastern University, Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine.

What is the purpose of COVID UPP?
The purpose of this study is to provide information about the experience of people who continue to have fatigue and other symptoms following a COVID-19 positive test. The study will help researchers and clinicians to understand if the illness improves or worsens over time and how similar and different long-term illness due to COVID is from other illnesses, including Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). The results will help researchers and clinicians to understand what factors and treatments may be more or less likely to help resolve symptoms of COVID-19 over time.

What do I do if I join the study?
The research team will invite approximately 2000 individuals who continue to have fatigue and other symptoms three after a positive COVID test and 200 who fully recovered from COVID-19 to participate in the study.
