Nova Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s, educational specialist, doctoral, and professional degrees. Nova Southeastern University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Professional Accreditations
The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an 'outcomes based' process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.
The BSRT First-Professional program #200615 has been granted continued accreditation by The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

The NSU Florida Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Abdomen-Extended program – is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org). Upon the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, the program has been granted continuing accreditation until the year 2026.
The NSU Florida Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Obstetrics and Gynecology program – is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org). ACOE is the accrediting body for professional degree programs offered by all optometric institutions in the United States.
Nova Southeastern University's Master of Science in Nutrition, Professional Practice Concentration, is granted full accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) as a Graduate Program through December 31, 2029.
Nova Southeastern University's Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition has been granted Candidacy for Accreditation by ACEND as a Didactic Program in Dietetics and may enroll students under this status. Students on premises and enrolled in the approved program will be considered graduates of an accredited program upon successful completion of the full program. As of June 2023, the program was reviewed for full accreditation and is pending a final board decision.
The College of Pharmacy is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
Additionally, the College of Psychology sponsors the Consortium Internship Program, which is a member in good standing of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). The center’s master’s degree program in school counseling and specialist degree program in school psychology are approved by the Florida Department of Education. The college is approved by the state of Florida’s Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling to offer continuing education to clinical social workers, mental health counselors, and marriage and family therapists. The college is approved by the state of Florida’s Board of Medical Therapies/Psychology, Office of School Psychology to offer continuing education.

The doctoral program in school psychology holds the designation of full accreditation status by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). The doctoral curriculum is designed to be consistent with the Florida state licensure requirements as both a school psychologist and a psychologist under Chapter 490, Florida Statutes.

The Psy.S. program and M.S. in School Counseling are approved by the Florida Department of Education and are part of the accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) as follows: The Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice (FCE & SCJ) is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). This accreditation covers the following initial teacher preparation programs: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education - ESOL/Reading Endorsements and Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education - ESOL Endorsement, and the following advanced-level programs: M.S. in Reading Education, M.S. in Educational Leadership, Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, M.S. in School Counseling, and Psy.S. in School Psychology.

In Feb 2023, the M.S. in Counseling: School Counseling concentration earned national recognition through the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Specialized Professional Association (SPA) under the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
Attaining this specialty recognition was an essential component of maintaining CAEP accreditation as an advanced program, and it required the program to demonstrate they meet each of the ASCA School Counselor Preparation Program Standards.
