Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), observed each April, aims to increase awareness about the causes and risk factors for sexual assault and to empower individuals to take steps to prevent it in their communities. The Title IX staff, along with several campus and community partners, have coordinated several events at NSU. Details below.

Day of Action

Join us on Tuesday, April 2nd for the SAAM Day of Action, where Title IX is teaming up with the NSU CARE Team for an exciting and impactful event! Engage in interactive activities focused on self-empowerment and bystander intervention, and take a stand by pledging on our Action Tree to become an Ambassador for Change. Donation Drive - Nancy J Cotterman Center
The Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC) is Broward County's only certified Sexual Assault Program where survivors of sexual assault can receive comprehensive services at no-cost including forensic medical exams, crisis counseling, therapy and assistance 24/7 through their helpline. The NJCC provides services to NSU students, faculty, and staff located in Broward County, in addition to partnering with NSU for training and prevention efforts. As part of our continued partnership, a donation drive has been organized to collect items needed for those individuals who may utilize the services at NJCC following a sexual assault. Items needed include:
