Support Our Students, Support Ourselves
As members of the Nova Southeastern University community, faculty and staff play a crucial role in student success. College life can be both rewarding and challenging, and students may face obstacles impacting their academic and personal lives. To effectively support our students, it's essential to prioritize our own well-being. By fostering a positive and caring environment for ourselves and our colleagues, we create a healthier campus community that benefits everyone.
From understanding how to recognize signs of distress to knowing how to report a concern, we offer guidance on creating a supportive and inclusive campus environment. By working together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students and our colleagues.

See Something, Say Something
The well-being of our students is a top priority. If you have concerns about a student's emotional, physical, or academic well-being, your voice matters. By reporting your observations, you can help us provide timely support and intervention.
Whether you're a faculty member, staff member, parent, or concerned community member, your input is valuable. Sharing your observations can make a significant difference in a student's life.
Ready to take action? Report your concerns through our confidential online form. A dedicated team will review your information and take appropriate steps to assist the student.
First, a member from the NSU Student CARE Team will contact you within 48 business hours to gather any additional information needed and/or to let you know the report was received. The next steps may vary, depending on the situation.
Sometimes the student is contacted, sometimes more information is needed, but most often an informal "check-in" by someone who knows the student can be conducted without formal action.
If necessary, the information will then be brought to the entire NSU Student CARE Team to develop a plan which will be communicated back to the student of concern and any other appropriate persons involved.
